"Caring for my elderly grandparents has always been a challenge but during the winter of '99 my 86 year grandfather became ill, suffering from many ailments but the worst being a calcium bone deficiency that effected both legs and his right shoulder, rendering him virtually paralyzed. "I am 42 years old. Throughout my life I never really worked out, but I was always active in sports and always thought of myself as an outdoorsman. Consequently I was always in somewhat decent shape without even going to a gym. I moved to New York from Los Angeles 6 years ago and unfortunately my lifestyle (and my body) had changed. Because of a stressful work environment and active social life, I became physically inactive (no more sports) and did not pay attention to diet. I would eat out almost every night and go to bars and restaurants sometimes at least a few days a week for both work and social events. Over the last six years I felt myself becoming more tired, sluggish, fat and generally unhealthy. I put on 20 pounds during this time. While nobody would say I was fat, I definitely felt uncomfortable and did not like my shape. I wanted to be thin again.

I would try to convince myself I was going to start losing weight, but could never get started. Truth is I didn't know how to get started. My attempts at weight loss and a better looking body were futile. After years of denial I decided I needed a little push and guidance from someone with expertise and compassion. Luckily I was introduced to Steve and I started a program of private sessions (1 to 2 times a week) for a period of just over 3 months.

Steve was a great motivator and seemed to know exactly what I needed. His advice on both diet and exercise is something I can use the rest of my life. In that short time I changed my diet but did it in a way that caused very little pain. In fact I was surprised that I did not have to give up more of the foods that I enjoyed. I just needed some education and to stop being lazy. Steve taught me how to work out properly and how to work on specific areas of the body that I wanted to improve. As much as I resisted going to a gym my whole life, Steve made the workout an enjoyable experience and pushed me to my limits in a very positive way. In fact I enjoyed his workout sessions so much that I joined a gym (for the first time ever) and am now going on my own at least 3 times a week. It took only a short period of adjustment to get on the right track but I started to see results immediately. In those 3 months with Steve, I lost almost 15 pounds, reduced my body fat from 22% to 11%, went from a 36-37 inch waist to a 33 inch waist and feel a whole lot better about myself. I am constantly getting compliments from people I haven't seen recently asking me if I have lost weight and how good I look. I would strongly refer Steve to anyone who is serious about improving their health and appearance. If you are willing to take the time and effort to get there, Steve will show you how."

"I have been dancing since 2nd grade and for as long as I can remember I've spent half of my active years in the company of Physical Therapists. Not that they're not great people BUT to see them you have to be injured and knee injuries were my downfall. I was diagnosed with everything from a high-rise patella (this is when the kneecap is out of it's groove) to bursitis. Years of ballet training, rotating my legs outward, twisting from the knee down instead of engaging my quad(receipt) and rotating my legs from the hip socket created a chronic left knee injury. As a result I overworked muscles in my right leg weakening the muscles in my left leg. Knee pain walking up stairs was a part of my daily existence for the last 29 years.

I was introduced to Steve through a friend at work whose body literally dropped 6 sizes. That in it self was enough to convince me he was MY MAN! My 9-5 pays the bills, but my passion is dancing. I currently dance for artist on Tommy Boy, Nervous Records and Strictly Rhythm. I've done commercials for MTV, VHI, music videos including Busta Rhymes and Whitney Houston. In this profession your appearance, physique and GOOD health are imperative. Steve has managed to rehabilitate my entire body. He reintroduced each body part to each other and has created stronger body mechanics. My biggest problem was the misappropriation of strength in each muscle, one thigh was stronger then the other. My quads were weaker than my hamstrings. My abs were stronger than my back. Steve's approach to my knee condition was to work each leg separately as opposed to the double leg training that I have been doing in the past as well as strengthen antagonistic muscles (opposing muscles: biceps/triceps...quads/hamstrings).

Since working with Steve he has prevented the reoccurring of injury, prepared me for a tour and has enabled me to maintain my performances for 6 artists. In a nutshell......HE ROCKS!!!!!!!! Two months ago was the first time in years that I was able to do a leg extension and walked up a flight of stairs without pain. Both experiences made me cry. For the first time in 29 years I am able to perform at my best and fully appreciate and enjoy the art of dance and entertainment because of him. The joy he has brought me and my spirit will never be fully expressed but I did want to take the time out to thank him for showing me my potential!"
